Save the date! Come on out for a fantastic production by our Drama Club, who under the leadership of Pauline Miller, have worked so hard to put on a show for us! "Night at the Wax Museum: the Musical" will be presented March 31 at 6:00pm and April 1 at 3:00pm. More details are found in the graphic below.

Congratulations to the CDS Jazz Band, on their outstanding performance today!
Words from Mrs. Miller: "The CDS Jazz Band participated in the State Jazz festival on Saturday, March 18th at Hampden Academy.
The students rose to the occasion and performed brilliantly. Nine students performed a total of 14 solos over a 3 song program. Every one of those students earned perfect scores on their solos from all of the judges. That is an amazing feat. One student (Jacob Fletcher) earned an outstanding musicianship trophy.
The band scored the second highest score of any CDS band in over 30 years.
The band represented Center Drive in a positive and respectful manner.
There are no places awarded at the Jazz Festival, they just receive a rating. CDS earned a Silver Rating scoring a 93."
Good luck to our CDS Jazz Band tomorrow, as they participate in the State Jazz Festival at Hampden Academy on March 18. CDS performs at 8:30 AM.
AOS 47 the Airline, Dedham and Orrington School Departments: All schools have a 2 hour delay tomorrow, Wednesday March 15,2023 due to the inclement weather and subsequent cleanup. All opening school functions will begin 2 hours later than our normally scheduled times. If the storm intensifies or shifts and we have to cancel I will send an additional message.
The CDS talent show is almost here! And if you think this is just for the middle school, you are wrong! We have acts representing students from pre-k all the way to 8th grade (and maybe an adult or two) and they are showing a variety of talents. We have singing, dancing, poetry, rock and roll, and even a couple of acts designed to make you laugh. We would love to see you here for dinner, too! We have spaghetti with homemade meatballs (also a vegan sauce), macaroni and cheese, salad, and breadsticks to be served before the show, and dessert to be served during the intermission. Not a fan of spaghetti? No problem, we have tickets for just the show, too! The 8th grade can't wait to see you.

We will also have some raffles to be drawn the night of the show, and buckets for the audience to vote with dollars for their favorite act- the act with the most money in their bucket at the end of the show wins the "Crowd Favorite" award.

Tomorrow we cheer on our "A" Teams! Saturday, February 11 begins our PVML "A" Teams basketball playoffs. Tournament games will be held at Hampden Academy both 2/11 and 2/14. CDS A Girls vs Holbrook at 8:00am. CDS A Boys vs Glenburn at 3:30pm. Winners of these games will advance to the Championship games on Tuesday, February 14. Admission for PVML Tournament games is: Students/Seniors $3, Adults $4, Family of 4+ $10.
