Last week the Airline School had an amazing opportunity to welcome Chewonki's Traveling Natural History Program. The students and staff were allowed to have a hands-on experience with snakeskins, turtle shells, skeletons, and other unique reptilian artifacts. Chewonki also included live reptiles for viewing (the kids really enjoyed them). Chewonki brought a portable Star Lab for us to view the night sky, explain how the stars are formed, and discuss our human history with the constellations above - from early mythological characters to modern navigation. This was an awesome experience for students!
